Job summary

Whitley and Eggborough Community Primary School is seeking a Midday Supervisory Assistant to support lunch-time supervision for pupils aged 4–11. The role is part-time, 1.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday, 12:00–1:30 pm, term-time only, with a fixed term contract to 31 August 2027, with possible permanent appointment.

You will supervise children in the dining hall and outside, encourage positive play and behaviour, and participate in OPAL training to uphold the school's ethos.

Qualifications

• Supervise children over lunchtime in the dining hall and outside (Mon–Fri).
• Encourage positive play and behaviour during lunch breaks.
• Take part in OPAL training and engage with the school ethos.

Fixed term contract until 31/8/27 initially with the possibility of becoming established.

We are looking to appoint a Midday Supervisory Assistant to join our friendly and hardworking team.

The successful candidate will be required to:

• Supervise children over the lunchtime period both in the dining hall and outside
• Engage with children and encourage positive play and behaviour
• Take part in OPAL training & engage with the ethos

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate initiative and independent decision-making skills.
