Job summary

St Lawrence School, Horncastle, is seeking a dedicated Midday Supervisory Assistant to join our team. The role focuses on supervising pupils at lunchtime, helping create a safe and positive environment during the school day.

Our pupils have a range of SEND, including autism and other needs; experience is helpful but the right attitude and willingness to learn are essential. Training will be provided for this term-time position.

MIDDAY SUPERVISORY ASSISTANT

St Lawrence School, Horncastle

Grade G2 - salary dependent on contracted hours 7.5 hours per week / term time only

We are looking for enthusiastic, caring and reliable Midday Supervisory Assistants to join our team at St Lawrence School. Our pupils have a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities, including moderate, severe and profound learning difficulties, autism and social, emotional and mental health needs.

You will support pupils throughout the lunchtime period, helping to make lunch a safe, positive and enjoyable part of the school day. This may include supervising pupils while eating and during social or play activities, supporting individual pupils, assisting with feeding and personal care or toileting where required, and responding calmly and consistently to behaviour.

You will work as part of the wider school team, following individual plans and school procedures and modelling our expectations for pupils. You will need to be patient, approachable and willing to get involved. Experience of working with children or young people with SEND is helpful, but just as important is the right attitude and a willingness to learn.
