Job summary

Lonsdale School is seeking a lunchtime supervisor to provide structured support to pupils during the midday period, ensuring a safe, well‑organised and positive environment. Sessions run Monday to Thursday 12.00 - 2.00pm and Friday 11.30am - 1.30pm.

You will help prepare the dining area, support pupils with personal care as needed, and promote social and learning opportunities through purposeful play. All appointments are subject to enhanced DBS checks and Keeping Children Safe in Education

• Promotes social and learning opportunities and supports play activities.
• Adheres to health and safety procedures and school guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dining area and provide individual pupil support.
• Meet pupils’ personal care needs.
• Support purposeful play activities.
• Undertake additional duties as directed by the Headteacher.

Key responsibilities include preparing the dining area, offering individual support in line with training and school procedures, and meeting pupils’ personal care needs. The postholder will promote appropriate social and learning opportunities and support purposeful play activities. A consistent and proactive approach to health and safety is essential, along with the flexibility to undertake additional reasonable duties as directed by the Headteacher.
