Gunthorpe Primary School in Peterborough is seeking a dedicated Midday Supervisor to join our OPAL play team during the lunch break. The role is term-time only, 7.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and is offered on a fixed-term maternity cover basis up to 12 months.

You will supervise pupils in the playground and other areas, help with positive play, assist with dining setup and clean-up, and support the smooth running of lunch periods. DBS and safeguarding checks will be required.

• Supervise in the playground, classrooms, corridors, cloakrooms, toilets, etc. and escort children between premises where necessary.
• Engage children in positive play by instigating playground games during lunchbreak.
• Assist with dining setup and clean-up, including setting tables, serving water, and clearing away after meals.

Gunthorpe Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated Midday Supervisor, working Term time only 7.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday lunchtime on a fixed term maternity cover basis of up to 12 months.

Within this role you will join our OPAL play team, who understand the essential role it has in children and young people's lives. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and engaging with children during the midday break. Duties include

Supervise in the playground, classrooms, corridors, cloakrooms, toilets, etc and escort children between premises where necessary.

To engage children in positive play by instigating playground games making sure children have an enjoyable and social time during their lunchbreak.

Where applicable may also be required to prepare rooms for dining, including setting out dining tables as appropriate.

Distribute meals and serve water where required.

Clear tables and collect rubbish, wash and stack away dining tables, water jugs and clean dining area as required.
