Job summary

Horley Infant School is seeking a reliable Midday Supervisor to join our lunchtime team. You will help set up and clear the dining area, supervise children, and support them to become more independent during lunch and playtime.

You will engage children in games and activities, promote positive play and healthy eating, and work with a supportive staff team. This casual, zero-hours role offers onsite parking and development opportunities within Greensand Multi Academy Trust.

Job description

Lunchtimes are such an important part of the day to a child and we need a reliable and enthusiastic team player to join the Horley Infant School midday team to make our lunchtimes legendary! In our latest Staff Wellbeing Survey, our school staff reported an 11% greater level of job satisfaction than the national benchmark. Maybe this could be your moment to join us?

With the Midday Supervisor Team, you will help set up and clear furniture within the school restaurant, supervise children and support the move from dependence to independence during lunchtime both in the dining hall and playground. Our Midday Supervisor team ensure the children have an enjoyable and engaging lunchtime experience as well as encouraging healthy eating and good manners. This is often achieved through our AMAZING lunchtime play activities which have led us to be a Platinum Award OPAL school. You will also help engage and enhance the team and children in a wide range of games and activities whilst promoting positive play and behaviour and helping children build relationships with others.

This is a casual zero-hours position, engaged on the basis that your services will be required regularly, on a long-term basis. No particular hours or times of work will be guaranteed or specified in advance.

Pay scale: GMAT Support Staff pay scale 1: £12.84 per hour / £24,092 FTE.
