Job summary

Lincoln Anglican Academy Trust is seeking a dedicated midday supervisor to help monitor pupil behaviour during the lunch break and to ensure a safe, healthy environment.

You will supervise activities, report incidents, assist with setting up tables and lunchtime equipment, and encourage healthy meals. The role requires safeguarding awareness and timely reporting, with duties expanding in line with LAAT policies.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising pupils during lunch/break times.
• Ability to report incidents in line with policy.
• Understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise activities and maintain health, safety, welfare, and good conduct during the midday break.
• Report incidents in line with school policy and escalate when required.
• Assist in setting out tables and storing lunchtime equipment.
• Encourage pupils to choose healthy and balanced meals.
• Clean up spillages and wipe tables; keep dining areas tidy between meals.
• Support positive play and interactions in line with the Behaviour Policy.

Job description

The successful candidate will work as part of a team monitoring pupil behaviour during the midday break and ensuring a safe and healthy environment.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Supervise activities and maintain the health, safety, welfare, good conduct and safeguarding of pupils, during the midday break, having regard to special or additional needs.
• Report incidents in line with the school policy.
• Assist in the supervision of other activities during the break, to include setting out tables and storing lunchtime equipment.
• Encourage pupils to select and eat healthy and balanced meals.
• Clean up spillages of food or liquid during meal service.
• Wipe down tables and clean dining areas between meals.
• Support and encourage positive play and interactions, in line with the School Behaviour Policy.
• Ensure that any incidents are reported to the right person and escalated as required.
