Job summary

Chantry Academy in Ipswich is seeking a Midday Supervisor to join The Active Learning Trust. You will supervise pupils during lunch and break times, support safeguarding and welfare, and help maintain a safe, orderly environment.

You will oversee playground and dining areas, set up and store equipment, and communicate with staff about incidents and information. We offer a compassionate, inclusive Trust environment with benefits such as the VivUp system, Cycle to Work, and the local government

We are looking for a Midday Supervisor to join the team at Chantry Academy, a Good secondary school at the heart of the Ipswich community. This role is about far more than supervision. It is an opportunity to help create an environment where pupils feel safe, included and ready to thrive. Working closely with colleagues, the successful candidate will support positive behaviour, promote pupil wellbeing and respond calmly to the day-to-day situations that arise during breaktimes.
