Chantry Academy in Ipswich is seeking a Midday Supervisor to help create a safe, inclusive lunchtime environment where pupils feel welcomed and ready to thrive. You will work closely with colleagues to support positive behaviour, pupil wellbeing and calm responses to day-to-day lunchtime situations.

The role emphasizes strong interpersonal skills, sound judgement, and a genuine commitment to helping young people, with a view to contributing to a positive school culture within the Active Learning

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills and calm under pressure.

• Ability to work with staff to manage breaktimes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils during lunch and break times, promoting positive behaviour and maintaining a safe, orderly environment.
• Monitor pupils' welfare and safeguarding, responding appropriately to incidents or concerns.
• Support lunchtime needs and help resolve minor disagreements.
• Oversee playground and dining areas, including setting up, cleaning and storing equipment.
• Communicate effectively with pupils and staff, reporting incidents and sharing information.
