Job summary

Holbrook School for Autism is seeking a dedicated Midday Supervisor to help supervise two classes at lunchtime across Portway and Whitemoor sites. This role supports meal service, outdoor play, and fosters a calm, inclusive environment.

You will work 10 hours per week, typically 11.45am–1.45pm (or 12pm–2pm), with DBS checks and safeguarding responsibilities. Training and support are provided to develop expertise in communication and behavior regulation.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting with meal service and lunchtime supervision.
• Ability to support pupils with personal care and regulation during the lunch period.
• Awareness of safeguarding and positive behaviour strategies.

Responsibilities

• Support two classes daily during lunch, with meal service and outdoor play.
• Assist staff to supervise pupils and ensure a safe, supportive environment.
• Encourage inclusive participation and positive behaviour during lunchtimes.

Grade/Scale: Derbyshire Support Pay Scale - Grade 5 (Points 4 - 5), Actual Salary £5,704 to £5,924 per annum

Contract:10 hours per week, 2 hours per day (11.45am to 1.45pm or 12pm to 2pm)

At Holbrook School for Autism we have an exciting new opportunity for an individual to join two classes daily to support two classes over the lunch time period, supporting with meal service and outdoor play. Successful candidates will be supported in developing expertise and exemplary practice relating to communication, personal care, behaviour support and regulation and safeguarding.
