Job summary

GSL Education is seeking a Midday Assistant for a welcoming secondary school in Grays. You will supervise lunch breaks, support students, and help maintain a safe, inclusive environment during mealtimes.

This part-time role (3 hours per day) emphasizes safeguarding and calm handling of lunchtime situations. DBS checks are required. Experience with children is desirable, and strong communication is essential.

• Work closely with teaching and pastoral staff to support student wellbeing

Requirements:

• Experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment
• A proactive and supportive approach to behaviour management
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
