Job summary

Felmore Primary School in Basildon is seeking a Midday Assistant to join the team as soon as possible. The role runs from 12:30pm to 1:45pm, Monday to Friday, 6 hours 15 minutes per week, term time for 38 weeks per year.

You will care for children during lunch hours, provide minor first aid if needed and clear up the hall. Being proactive and starting games with the children is an important part of the role.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge or experience of First Aid preferable.
  • Patience.
  • Experience of working with children or in school environments desirable.
  • Willingness to lead and engage in play with children.
  • A consistent and fair approach to managing behaviour.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care for children during lunch hour, including clearing up the hall.
  • Provide minor first aid if needed during lunch periods.

Felmore Primary School has an exciting opportunity for a Midday Assistant to join the team as soon as possible.

The hours will be 12.30pm to 1:45pm Monday to Friday (6 hours 15 minutes per week), term time only for 38 weeks per year.

Scale 2, Point 4 (Range 4-5) Actual Salary £3,781 per annum (including paid annual leave which must be taken in school closure periods).
