Job summary

Oscar Technology in Blackpool, Lancashire is seeking an experienced PHP Developer to join its development team. You will work on PHP 8, Laravel and Symfony, with MySQL and large datasets, building features and robust applications.

You’ll collaborate across teams, implement responsive interfaces with HTML/CSS/Tailwind and JavaScript (Alpine.js / Vue.js), integrate APIs, and drive performance improvements while using Git and modern workflows. Hybrid role with parking on-site.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience developing PHP applications.
• Strong knowledge of Laravel and/or Symfony.
• Experience with MySQL.
• Proficient in HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Experience with Tailwind CSS and/or Alpine.js / Vue.js.
• Experience using Git and modern development practices.
• Able to write clean, maintainable and reliable code.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining web applications using PHP 8, Laravel and/or Symfony.

Location: Blackpool, Lancashire

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £40,000-£50,000 per annum

Working Pattern: Hybrid - 2 days in the office, 3 days working from home

We're working with an established and growing technology business that is looking for an experienced PHP Developer to join its Development team in Blackpool.

You'll be working with large and varied datasets, solving interesting technical challenges and developing reliable systems that transform complex information into valuable insights.

• Developing and maintaining web applications using PHP 8, Laravel and/or Symfony

• £40,000-£50,000 per annum, depending on experience
• Hybrid working - 2 days in the Blackpool office and 3 days from home
