Queen’s Crescent School is a two-form entry primary school, based in Chippenham with over 400 pupils on roll across 14 classes. In 2014 the school became a single academy trust and subsequently joined Pickwick Academy Trust in 2017 as one of the four founding schools. Queen’s Crescent is a vibrant school and our energetic, caring and positive staff are committed to providing the best primary education for all of our children. Children learn best when they feel happy and safe, so we aim to provide a nurturing environment that allows them to succeed but also feel safe to make mistakes along the way. In such an atmosphere, we believe that every child can achieve their full potential, irrespective of ability or background.
Our curriculum is broad and balanced and delivered by means of stimulating learning enquiries that build on prior knowledge and skills, preparing each individual for the next phase of their education and life beyond school. We are currently investing significantly in our IT infrastructure to support the delivery of the curriculum enabling our teachers to teach in new and dynamic ways which in turn results in fantastic outcomes for our children.
You’ll be joining a trusted community that is built on shared values and genuine care for every learner. As part of 21 schools, you will benefit from shared expertise, strong professional development, and clear pathways for progression. Our scale allows us to invest in high-quality training, mentoring, and resources to help you succeed. We offer a supportive, inclusive workplace where staff wellbeing truly matters.
At Pickwick Academy Trust, we welcome people from all backgrounds and experiences. We are looking for colleagues who can work in a way that reflects our values of aspiration, collaboration, inclusion, enjoyment, and nurturing relationships. This means setting clear goals, working respectfully with others, treating everyone fairly, creating a positive environment, and building supportive and consistent relationships with pupils and colleagues. You do not need to "be a certain type of person" to succeed here, what matters is how you work. If you want to support children to do well, enjoy being part of a team, and want to contribute to a warm, inclusive, and ambitious Trust, we would be delighted to receive your application.
As a Diversity & Inclusion employer, we warmly welcome applicants from all backgrounds and experiences. We particularly encourage applications from under-represented groups and are dedicated to providing reasonable adjustments for disabled, neurodivergent, or otherwise needing applicants.
