Job summary

Kingfisher Special School and Halcyon Way School are seeking caring Midday Leaders to join our dedicated team. You will supervise lunch, support pupils with sensitivity, and help foster positive behaviour and social interaction in a reassuring environment.

We value safeguarding, teamwork, and a calm, patient approach. Training will be provided to ensure you can make a meaningful difference for pupils with special educational needs.

Job description

We are seeking caring, reliable and enthusiastic Midday Leaders to join our dedicated team at Kingfisher Special School and Halcyon Way School.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting pupils during lunch with sensitivity and care

• Encouraging positive behaviour and social interaction

• Supervising indoor and outdoor play activities

• Assisting with personal care

• Being a friendly and consistent presence for our pupils

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

• Has a calm, patient and caring approach

• Enjoys working with children and young people with special educational needs

• Can work well as part of a team

• Is committed to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing

• Experience in a school or SEN setting is desirable, but not essential - training will be provided
