Job summary

Colt Technology Services is seeking a Security Architect specialising in the Microsoft Security platform (M365 E5) to join the Security Architecture team. You will own the design authority for Defender, Entra ID and Purview and drive Zero Trust aligned security architectures across Colt's hybrid estate.

You will collaborate with Security Engineering, SOC, Threat Intelligence, Risk and wider technology teams to modernise Colt's security posture, govern AI/LLM usage, and deliver scalable security

Qualifications

• 5+ years of information security experience in large-scale enterprise or telecommunications environments.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft 365 E5 security capabilities including Defender, Entra ID, Sentinel and Purview.
• Strong understanding of Zero Trust architecture principles and identity-driven security models.
• Experience deploying Defender and SIEM capabilities integrated within a larger security ecosystem.
• Ability to translate complex security concepts into clear business outcomes.
• Experience conducting security design reviews and risk-based assessment methods.
• Solid networking knowledge (Windows/AD, Linux/Unix) and cloud security across IaaS/PaaS/SaaS, especially Azure.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent in English (technical and non-technical).

Responsibilities

• Act as the design authority for Microsoft security architecture (Defender, Entra ID, Purview).
• Define and maintain the target architecture for the Microsoft security platform aligned to Zero Trust.
• Lead the design and implementation of Defender across endpoints, identities and user-facing services.
• Define integration patterns between Microsoft Defender and other security tooling across server and infrastructure.
• Design and deliver Purview solutions including DLP, Information Protection and data governance.
• Implement identity-first security controls using Entra ID (P2) including CA, MFA and PIM.
• Support modernisation of SOC operating model using Defender and Sentinel telemetry.
• Produce architecture artefacts, standards and guidance documentation.
