Job summary

Converge UK is seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our Managed Services team in Stafford. You will deliver end-to-end Microsoft cloud engineering across pre-sales, delivery and BAU, helping design, implement, and support secure, scalable cloud solutions for multiple customers.

You’ll work across Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Endpoint management and cloud security, advising customers and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune and cloud security.
• Experience designing, administering or managing Microsoft tenants in production environments.
• Background in an MSP or multi-customer support environment.
• Good working knowledge of networking fundamentals and how they underpin cloud services.
• Experience with security scanning platforms such as Nessus or similar vulnerability tools.
• Experience delivering 2nd/3rd line support for cloud or infrastructure services.
• Strong troubleshooting capability across identity, access, compliance, backup, networking and governance.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into practical cloud recommendations.
• Experience supporting incidents, service requests, changes and problem investigations.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Commercial awareness and identifying opportunities to improve customer value.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 2nd/3rd line BAU support for Microsoft cloud services and incidents.
• Administer and improve Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Intune, endpoint management and security.
• Provide practical governance, security, licensing and adoption guidance to customers.
• Support pre-sales by reviewing requirements and shaping options.
• Contribute to design, delivery and improvement of Microsoft cloud services across Converge’s portfolio.
• Work with Project teams to deliver solutions and handover into Managed Services.
• Carry out monitoring, patching, secure score reviews and remediation activities.
• Maintain compliance with ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials Plus through governance and documentation.
• Investigate recurring incidents and contribute to problem management.
• Create and maintain technical docs, SOPs and handover packs.
• Coach Service Desk and Managed Services teams to improve first-time fix and escalation quality.
• Assist onboarding of new customers by reviewing environments and suggesting improvements.
• Keep aware of Microsoft roadmap changes and licensing updates.
