Job summary

Computacenter is seeking a Microsoft 365 & Messaging Engineer to design, deliver and support secure Microsoft solutions across customer environments. You will tackle complex technical challenges from Exchange Online to Entra ID, Azure, and automation, while contributing to cloud transformation.

You’ll join a highly skilled team, share ideas, develop expertise and stay current with evolving Microsoft technologies in a consultancy and engineering practice.

Qualifications

• Experience with Exchange Online, Exchange On-Premises and Hybrid.
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure and Entra ID.
• Experience with mail flow, SMTP routing, migrations and email security.
• Knowledge of Purview, retention, eDiscovery and compliance.
• Azure infrastructure across compute, storage, networking, monitoring and security.
• Automation skills using PowerShell; Graph API, Azure CLI or Azure Automation beneficial.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Bicep, ARM or Terraform.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• 5+ years’ experience supporting enterprise technology platforms.
• AZ-104 and related Azure certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support and optimise Microsoft 365, Exchange Online and Hybrid environments.
• Troubleshoot complex messaging, mail flow and platform issues.
• Deliver mailbox migrations, tenant consolidations and modernisation projects.
• Manage email security and compliance across Proofpoint, Microsoft Defender, Purview, SPF, DKIM and DMARC.
• Support identity services including Entra ID, Conditional Access, SSO and Entra Connect.
• Build and manage Azure infrastructure, networking, storage and compute services.
• Automate infrastructure and operational tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Bicep or Terraform.
• Implement Azure monitoring, governance, security and access controls.
• Support CI/CD, containers and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Provide third-line technical support and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with architects, security, infrastructure and application teams to deliver effective end-to-end solutions.
