Job summary

Computacenter is seeking a Microsoft 365 & Messaging Engineer to join our Consultancy & Engineering Practice in the UK. You’ll design, deliver and support secure Microsoft 365, Exchange Online and Azure solutions across diverse customer environments.

You will tackle complex messaging challenges, manage migrations, security and compliance, and collaborate with architects, security and application teams to deliver end-to-end cloud transformation projects. Azure and Entra ID expertise is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Exchange Online, Exchange On Premises and Hybrid.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure and Entra ID.
• Experience with mail flow, SMTP routing, migrations and email security.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Purview, retention, eDiscovery and compliance.
• Azure infrastructure experience across compute, storage, networking, monitoring and security.
• Automation skills using PowerShell, with experience of Microsoft Graph API, Azure CLI or Azure Automation beneficial.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally Bicep, ARM or Terraform.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ideally 5+ years’ experience supporting enterprise technology platforms.
• Azure certifications such as AZ-104, alongside Azure Security, Networking, Architecture, Terraform, DevOps or ITIL certification, would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support and optimise Microsoft 365, Exchange Online and Exchange Hybrid environments.
• Troubleshoot complex messaging, mail flow and platform issues.
• Deliver mailbox migrations, tenant consolidations and modernisation projects.
• Manage email security and compliance across Proofpoint, Microsoft Defender, Purview, SPF, DKIM and DMARC.
• Support identity services including Entra ID, Conditional Access, SSO and Entra Connect.
• Build and manage Azure infrastructure, networking, storage and compute services.
• Automate infrastructure and operational tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Bicep or Terraform.
• Implement Azure monitoring, governance, security and access controls.
• Support CI/CD, containers and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Provide third-line technical support and root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with architects, security, infrastructure and application teams to deliver effective end-to-end solutions.
