Job summary

Doherty Associates in London seeks a customer-facing Microsoft 365 Consultant to join the Professional Services team. You will act as a subject matter expert, shaping security, governance, and operational solutions for clients.

You will combine presales support, consultancy, and hands-on delivery across the full project lifecycle, from discovery to handover into Managed Services, ensuring outcomes meet governance standards and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience in MSP/consultancy environments and delivering customer-facing Microsoft 365 projects end-to-end.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 components including Entra ID, Intune, Teams, SharePoint, Exchange, and CA.
• Experience shaping solutions from presales through delivery and transition to operations.
• Proven ability to manage customer expectations, risks, and timelines in a governed delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and optimisation of Microsoft 365 solutions (Entra ID, Intune, CA, SharePoint, Teams).
• Produce high/low-level designs aligned to security, governance, and operational best practices.
• Deliver projects end-to-end from discovery to handover and early life support.
• Coordinate with Project Managers to control scope, dependencies, risks, and changes.
• Provide technical oversight across multiple concurrent customer engagements.
• Act as trusted advisor, translating business requirements into deliverable technical solutions.
• Lead workshops, discovery sessions, assessments, and demonstrations.
• Set realistic expectations on scope, risks, timescales, and outcomes.
• Support pre-sales activities with technical input and effort estimation.
• Build strong client relationships and identify value-enhancement opportunities.
