Job summary

The City of Edinburgh Council ICT Lead (Microsoft 365) is a fixed-term role based at Waverley Court. You will oversee configuring, administering, and advancing our Microsoft 365 environment to meet business needs and compliance requirements.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Power Platform and related Azure resources, plus strong communication and project skills to guide teams and partners through digital change.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading Microsoft 365 data migration projects (SharePoint/Teams advantageous).
• Experience with Azure, Entra ID and other Azure resources.
• Strong communication and organisational skills; able to meet deadlines.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and provide innovative digital solutions.
• Comfortable presenting and building collaborative relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day administration and support for Microsoft 365 and related cloud services.
• Oversee data migration projects within SharePoint/Teams and wider Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
• Collaborate with security, governance and other specialists to ensure compliance with data protection rules.
• Engage with business customers, partners and teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Present findings and progress to stakeholders and manage expectations.
