Job summary

Sword, a leading technology services provider, is seeking a Digital Workplace Consultant to design, deliver and optimise Microsoft 365-based solutions. The role blends customer engagement, solution design and hands-on delivery across discovery, migration and optimisation.

You will work with security, compliance and user-experience considerations while collaborating with Cloud & Cyber teams to develop high-quality solutions for complex environments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering Microsoft 365 or Digital Workplace consulting engagements.
• Experience designing and implementing Microsoft 365 solutions for mid-market or enterprise.
• Experience across the full solution lifecycle, from discovery and design through to delivery, optimisation and operational support.
• Experience supporting or leading Microsoft 365 migrations and transformation programmes.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, including identity and access management, Conditional Access and identity-driven security.
• Familiar with Defender, data protection, governance and compliance controls.
• Experience with hybrid and migration scenarios, including on-premises to Microsoft 365 and tenant-to-tenant migrations.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to translate requirements into solutions.
• Ability to produce high-quality technical designs and implementation materials.
• Experience leading workshops and pre-sales activities.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Relevant Microsoft 365 and identity certifications, MS-102 and SC-300.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Digital Workplace consulting engagements including assessments and optimisation activities.
• Lead discovery sessions and workshops to understand business requirements and outcomes.
• Develop target-state architectures, roadmaps and implementation plans for Microsoft 365.
• Design and deliver Microsoft 365 solutions across security, collaboration and user experience.
• Lead or contribute to migrations and transformation programmes to Microsoft 365.
• Design and implement Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive solutions.
• Design identity and access solutions using Microsoft Entra ID.
• Embed security, identity and compliance into Digital Workplace solutions.
• Produce high-quality documentation and operational handover materials.
• Support pre-sales with technical proposals, RFPs and client discussions.
• Mentor colleagues and share knowledge across the practice.
• Keep up to date with Microsoft roadmap and best practices.
