Job summary

The University of Suffolk is seeking a Microsoft 365 Administrator to support staff across the University. You’ll manage SharePoint Online, Teams and Exchange Online, ensuring secure, reliable and efficient digital services that enable collaboration and productivity.

Job description

  • Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week (1 FTE)
  • Salary: Band 3 - £28,778 to £32,080 per annum
About The Post

As our Microsoft 365 Administrator, you'll play a key role in shaping and supporting the digital experience of staff across the University. Working with technologies including SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams and Exchange Online, you'll help ensure our Microsoft 365 services are secure, reliable and effective, enabling colleagues to collaborate, communicate and work more efficiently.

This is more than a platform support role. You'll work alongside colleagues across Digital Transformation, Solutions Development and project teams to introduce new capabilities, improve existing services and help the University get the most from its Microsoft 365 investment. Whether you're streamlining processes, improving governance, supporting users or solving technical challenges, you'll have a direct impact on how digital services are delivered across the institution.

We're looking for someone who enjoys combining technical expertise with problem‑solving and great customer service. You'll be proactive, curious and motivated by finding better ways of doing things, helping ensure our digital platforms remain secure, well‑managed and fit for the future.

About The Team

Digital & IT is a vital department within the University of Suffolk, ensuring our students and staff are supported with their digital & IT needs. Our mission is to empower students, staff, and researchers by providing scalable, supportable and sustainable technology solutions and services, and are committed to enhancing the University experience through digital innovation and excellence.

Our team of approximately 20 colleagues bring together a diverse range of skills, experience and perspectives, enabling us to support a wide variety of areas across the institution. We are more than technical infrastructure, networks and devices; we play a key role in helping the University evolve and grow by providing strategic guidance, practical expertise and digital innovation across all aspects of the digital landscape.
