Cawood is the largest independent provider of analytical laboratory testing and sampling services for the land-based industries in the UK. Job Description:

1. Communicate professionally with all co-workers regarding discrepancies or queries, ensuring emails are addressed promptly or within a reasonable timeframe.
2. Sort samples and ensure they correspond with the relevant paperwork.
3. Prepare and analyse samples accurately and efficiently.
4. Report all samples correctly into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
5. Prepare dry culture media following Standard Operating Procedures.
6. Understand and adhere to provided Standard Operating Procedures.
7. Maintain a professional image by keeping equipment and PPE clean.
8. Use equipment according to guidelines and report any damage immediately.
9. Work collaboratively as part of a team, maintaining morale and offering help and assistance where possible.
10. Prioritize safety in all lab activities, proactively reporting accidents and near misses to managers in line with company policies.
11. Assist with on-site training of new employees, providing support to ensure a friendly, engaging, and inspiring onboarding experience.
12. Operate instrumentation such as balances, incubators, autoclaves, preparators, dilumats, and pipettes after successful training.
