Job summary

NHS Scotland is inviting applications for a Medical Laboratory Assistant - Band 3 on a bank (casual) basis at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, in the Microbiology Laboratory. The role offers opportunities to work in the diagnostic bacteriology section within a busy teaching hospital, with training provided where needed.

Ideal candidates will be flexible, enthusiastic and motivated, with knowledge or experience in laboratory work.

Qualifications

• Flexible, enthusiastic and well motivated.
• Knowledge and experience of laboratory work would be an advantage but full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Work in the diagnostic bacteriology section of a busy department within a large teaching hospital.
• Be prepared to work in a shift pattern within the stated hours and comply with the Healthcare Support Worker Induction standards.
