Job summary

East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Associate Practitioner to join the Microbiology service at William Harvey Hospital. This is a permanent Band 4 post working 37.5 hours per week, with core hours 08:30–17:00 and a rota including late shifts and weekends.

You will support Biomedical Scientists, supervise development of Bands 2–3, and have opportunity for specialist training aligned with interests.

Responsibilities

• Support Biomedical Scientists within the Microbiology laboratory.
• Supervise and support development of Senior Associate and Associate Healthcare Scientists (Bands 2 and 3).
• Contribute to defined aspects of service delivery and participate in investigations.
