Job summary

Qualifications

• Maths, English, Chemistry or Biology GCSE grade C or above.
• Knowledge of microbiological testing methods and laboratory safety.
• Experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in the food or water sector.
• Experience working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Good laboratory skills and practices.
• Enthusiastic and able to work efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and organisation skills.
• Good communication skills and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological testing analysis, able to identify colony morphologies for tests carried out, including Legionella; train others.
• Enter results into the Laboratory IT system and ensure correct reporting.
• Work in line with quality procedures and daily quality tasks.
• Support calibration checks and quality controls.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene; adhere to 5S and lean production standards.
