Job description

Job Title: Microbiologist

CK Group is recruiting for 2 Microbiologists to join a globally leading food brand company at their site in Wokingham. This is a part-time role covering weekends, on a contract basis for 6 months.

Salary: Hourly rate from £14.74 to £18.43 PAYE, depending on experience.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Primarily weekend work, conducting testing for Routine Analysis (Endotoxins, Bioburdens, Total Viable Count, Environmental Monitoring).
2. Perform basic routine analysis using specified techniques under supervision.
3. Operate basic laboratory equipment.
4. Utilize laboratory software such as LIMS and Q-Pulse.
5. Perform lab administration and housekeeping duties as directed.
6. Experience in high-volume routine microbiological testing.
7. Candidates with a university background or hands-on experience are welcome; salary depends on experience.
8. Must reside within 45 minutes of Wokingham and be available to work Saturdays and Sundays.
9. Attributes: accountable, honest, hardworking, team-oriented, meticulous, attentive to detail, able to follow instructions, good communication skills, self-motivated, enthusiastic, quick learner.
