Job description

Recruitment Consultant (CertRP) / PE Global / Connecting people with the right opportunities

PE Global is currently recruiting for a Microbiologist for a leading multi-national confectionery, food, beverage, and snack food company based in Wokingham.

This is a contract role until 31st January 2026, working hours are 36 hours per week, 9am – 5pm, Thursday – Monday.

Pay Rate is up to £14.74 per hour PAYE.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform basic routine analysis under supervision of a senior staff member.
• Operate basic lab equipment as directed.
• Use software packages such as Laboratory’s LIMS system, Q-Pulse, etc.
• Provide training in routine activities.
• Perform lab admin and housekeeping duties as directed.
• Work in different laboratories if required.
• Collaborate effectively as part of an analytical team.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards, including COSHHs, risk assessments, and SOPs.

Qualifications and Experience

• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and quick learner.
• Well-organized, capable of multitasking.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Basic scientific understanding of lab equipment.
