Job summary

Search Consultancy is helping a Michelin‑starred fine dining restaurant in Petworth, West Sussex, recruit a Pastry Chef to lead the pastry offering. You will craft high-end desserts, viennoiserie and petits fours, contributing to seasonal menus and the elevated dining experience.

You will join a small brigade under a respected Michelin‑starred chef, with pride in craft, precision and ingredient quality. The role offers an outstanding work environment and strong progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven pastry and viennoiserie experience in fine dining.
• Experience with laminated doughs and high-volume pastry production.
• Experience in Michelin-starred or 3 Rosette establishments preferred.
• Ability to manage pastry section within a small brigade.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality baked goods and viennoiserie, with strong techniques.
• Develop creative, seasonal desserts to suit the restaurant’s style.
• Maintain exceptional flavour, texture, and presentation.
• Collaborate with Head Chef on menu development and new ideas.
• Take ownership of pastry preparation, mise en place and service.
• Manage pastry stock, orders and wastage with cost control.
• Ensure excellent food hygiene and allergen awareness.
