Job summary

Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a MHST Specialist Practitioner to support children and young people in Mansfield & Ashfield. The role is 22.5 hours per week and blends school-based delivery with community work, focusing on early intervention and evidence-based emotional wellbeing support.

You will work with schools, parents, and CAMHS links to identify needs, provide brief therapies, and promote whole-school approaches to mental health. A driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering therapeutic work to children and families in CAMHS.
• Desirable: experience working in educational settings.
• Ability to work in a hybrid school-based and community setting.
• Willingness to drive and have access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one therapeutic support to children and young people.
• Contribute to whole-school approaches and advise education staff.
• Deliver brief, early-intervention interventions within schools.
• Participate in duty responsibilities and school-based drop-ins.
• Collaborate with agencies to ensure joined-up support for pupils.
