Job summary

Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Community CAMHS Specialist Mental Health Practitioner to join a multidisciplinary team serving children and young people across Nottingham, including Arnold and East Bridgford.

You will provide assessments, evidence-based interventions and support to families, while adhering to CAPA and CYP IAPT frameworks and ensuring high quality care within the CAMHS service specification.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse or social work qualification and HCPC registration.
• Full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health assessments and formulations.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions, including group treatment.
• Care co-ordinate an agreed caseload.
• Liaise with and offer consultation to other agencies.
• Participate in the enquiries rota and CAMHS SPA rota.
• Contribute to all aspects of positive team functioning.
• Contribute to ongoing service innovations and development.
• Provide Waiting Well calls to young people while they wait for assessment or treatment.
• Observe and adhere to the CAMHS service specification and professional guidelines.
• Work within CAPA and CYP IAPT frameworks and principles.
• Offer psychoeducation to children, young people and families.
• Manage a caseload with safeguarding compliance.
• Support junior colleagues with supervision and guidance.
• Plan smooth transitions when clinically indicated.
• Seek support from Clinical and Operational Leads as needed.
• Promote teamwork and positive working environments.
• Ensure risk management and care plans are in place.
• Maintain contemporaneous records per Trust policy.
• Collaborate with other CAMHS teams across Nottinghamshire.
