Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking a dedicated Material Handling Equipment Training Manager to join our Warehouse / Operations team at our UK site. You will lead the design and delivery of MHE training—covering counterbalance, reach trucks, PPTs and order pickers—while ensuring competency, licensing, and compliance with RTITB/ITSSAR, PUWER and LOLER standards.

You will partner with Shift Leaders and the Operations Manager to identify training needs, drive safety leadership, and maintain accurate training

Qualifications

• Experience delivering MHE training in a fast-paced warehouse or logistics environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation (HASAWA, PUWER, LOLER).
• Current RTITB or ITSSAR Instructor/Assessor accreditation.
• Excellent communication and coaching skills for mentoring teams.
• High attention to detail and record-keeping for compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver comprehensive training across all MHE types (counterbalance, reach trucks, PPTs, order pickers).
• Assess and authorise operators through competency evaluations and licensing.
• Maintain audit-ready training matrices and schedule refresher training per standards (RTITB/ITSSAR, PUWER, LOLER).
• Investigate MHE incidents or near-misses and deliver targeted retraining to reduce risk and damage.
• Collaborate with Shift Leaders and Operations Manager to identify skills gaps and streamline upskilling.
