Job summary

AO is seeking an experienced MHE Trainer for our Crewe operation on permanent days with a 12-hour shift pattern. You will develop colleagues, improve safety standards and help create high-performing teams across the site.

As an Operational Trainer, you’ll deliver practical and classroom training, lead inductions for new starters and agency staff, assess and re-certify on MHE, and maintain training records while collaborating with Health & Safety, HR and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Experience operating MHE within a warehouse/logistics environment.
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Experience delivering practical training and coaching.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging practical and classroom-based training.
• Lead inductions for new starters and agency colleagues.
• Train, assess and re-certify colleagues on MHE equipment.
• Support compliance with health and safety standards across the site.
• Maintain accurate training records and certification data.
• Work closely with Operational, HR and Health & Safety teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve training effectiveness and operational performance.
• Ensure mandatory training requirements are completed across your shift.
