Job Responsibilities
  1. Effectively leading the site Health & Safety culture.
  2. Completing / supporting site inductions of MHE / Manual Handling.
  3. Supporting the Risk Assessment (RA) / Safe Working Practices (SWP) completion with the nominated person(s).
  4. Providing a consistently high level of technical skills training to support the operations area through various delivery methods.
  5. Working as part of a close team ensuring all training is completed and recorded in line with company policy.
  6. Developing a site skills matrix for all MHE training and ensuring refresher training is completed within specified time frames.
  7. Managing the number of MHE operators to minimize skill fade and risks from inexperienced and infrequent users.
  8. Ensuring ongoing competence of all MHE operators through refresher training, workplace assessments, and additional training following unsafe practices or incidents.
  9. Assisting in investigating on-site and MHE-related incidents/accidents.
  10. Maintaining a proactive approach to reduce risks from MHE operations and developing learning from experience briefings.
  11. Creating Safe System of Works and conducting risk assessments for MHE activities.
  12. Identifying hazards and implementing control measures to mitigate risks, ensuring training is provided to relevant staff.
  13. Reviewing safety audit GAP analysis with site management to ensure completion of all areas.
  14. Liaising with operational management to cover all site training requirements across shifts.
  15. Participating as part of the Site MHE instructor team to ensure training is completed and recorded per company policy.
  16. Contributing as an active member of the wider management team, offering suggestions to improve site safety.
  17. Compiling data for KPI and Monthly Reports for management review.
Qualifications
  • ITSAR or RTITB Instructor qualification.
  • Experience with Reach, Counterbalance, VNA, Pivot Steer (Bendi), and/or PPT.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts for training coverage.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
  • Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
