Job Responsibilities
  1. Effectively leading the site Health & Safety culture as No1 on the agenda.
  2. Training all MHE staff to use the FMS system (Fleet Management System).
  3. Completing / supporting site inductions of MHE / Manual Handling for all FTE / Agency staff.
  4. Supporting the Risk Assessment (RA) / Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) completion with the nominated person/s.
  5. Providing a high level of technical skills training to support operations through various delivery methods.
  6. Working as part of a team ensuring training is completed and recorded per company policy.
  7. Developing a site skills matrix to ensure all MHE operators are competent, with timely refresher training.
  8. Managing MHE operators to minimize skill fade and risks from inexperienced users.
  9. Ensuring ongoing competence of MHE operators through refresher training, workplace assessments, and safety practices.
  10. Assisting in investigating on-site and MHE-related incidents/accidents.
  11. Proactively reducing risks from MHE operations and developing learning briefings.
  12. Creating Safe Systems of Work and risk assessments for MHE activities.
  13. Identifying hazards and implementing control measures, training staff accordingly.
  14. Reviewing safety audit GAP analyses with site management.
  15. Liaising with operational management on site training needs across shifts.
  16. Participating in the site MHE instructor team to ensure training compliance.
  17. Contributing to the management team with safety and problem-solving suggestions.
  18. Compiling data for KPI and Monthly Reports for management.
Job Details

Shift: 4ON 4OFF Days - 06:00am-18:00pm.

Salary: £32,925 per annum.

Qualifications
  • ITSSAR Category 1 Accredited instructor/examiner Licence.
  • High attention to detail, team player, able to work independently.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, flexible with shift patterns.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
