Job Responsibilities
- Effectively leading the site Health & Safety culture as No1 on the agenda.
- Training all MHE staff to use the FMS system (Fleet Management System).
- Completing / supporting site inductions of MHE / Manual Handling for all FTE / Agency staff.
- Supporting the Risk Assessment (RA) / Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) completion with the nominated person/s.
- Providing a high level of technical skills training to support operations through various delivery methods.
- Working as part of a team ensuring training is completed and recorded per company policy.
- Developing a site skills matrix to ensure all MHE operators are competent, with timely refresher training.
- Managing MHE operators to minimize skill fade and risks from inexperienced users.
- Ensuring ongoing competence of MHE operators through refresher training, workplace assessments, and safety practices.
- Assisting in investigating on-site and MHE-related incidents/accidents.
- Proactively reducing risks from MHE operations and developing learning briefings.
- Creating Safe Systems of Work and risk assessments for MHE activities.
- Identifying hazards and implementing control measures, training staff accordingly.
- Reviewing safety audit GAP analyses with site management.
- Liaising with operational management on site training needs across shifts.
- Participating in the site MHE instructor team to ensure training compliance.
- Contributing to the management team with safety and problem-solving suggestions.
- Compiling data for KPI and Monthly Reports for management.
Job Details
Shift: 4ON 4OFF Days - 06:00am-18:00pm.
Salary: £32,925 per annum.
Qualifications
- ITSSAR Category 1 Accredited instructor/examiner Licence.
- High attention to detail, team player, able to work independently.
- Ability to meet deadlines, flexible with shift patterns.
- Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
