Job summary

Lyreco is seeking an experienced MHE Operator to safely operate a Rider Pallet Truck and move pallets within our Telford Distribution Centre. A PPT A2/A1 or reach forklift license is essential, with a strong focus on accuracy and safety in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Join Lyreco’s team at the Head Office in Telford for a full-time permanent role with rotating shifts and a salary package including a 12.5% shift allowance.

Qualifications

• Valid Rider Pallet Truck licence (essential).
• Experience as MHE Operator/Pallet Truck Operator (PPT A2, A1 or reach forklift) desired.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Rider Pallet Truck for the majority of the shift.
• Pick customer orders accurately from ankle height to head height.
• Achieve daily productivity and accuracy targets.
• Identify damaged or defective stock and quarantine.
• Carry out equipment checks and report issues.
• Support the wider warehouse team to ensure excellent customer service.

£27,222 per annum (+12.5% shift allowance)

The Role

As an MHE Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a Rider Pallet Truck, moving pallets from Goods in to other areas of the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Operating a Rider Pallet Truck for the majority of your shift.
• Picking customer orders accurately from ankle height to head height.
• Achieving daily productivity and accuracy targets.
• Identifying damaged or defective stock and placing it into quarantine.
• Carrying out equipment checks and reporting any issues.
• Supporting the wider warehouse team to ensure excellent customer service.

What We're Looking For

To be successful as an MHE Operator, you'll have:

• A valid Rider Pallet Truck licence (essential).
• Previous experience as an MHE Operator, Pallet Truck Operator, either PPT A2, PPT A1, or reach forklift license.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• The ability to work efficiently in a busy warehouse environment.
• Good communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude.
• A commitment to working safely and following warehouse procedures.
