Job summary

AO.com is seeking an experienced MHE Trainer for our logistics operation in Crewe. This permanent role involves delivering engaging practical and classroom training, leading inductions for new starters and agency colleagues, and certifying colleagues on MHE equipment to keep our operations safe and efficient.

You will maintain training records, work with Operational, HR and Health & Safety teams, and seek ways to improve training effectiveness and overall performance across the site.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence
• Experience operating MHE in a warehouse or logistics environment
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements
• Experience delivering practical training and coaching
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Responsibilities

We're looking for an experienced MHE Trainer to join our busy logistics operation in Crewe. Whether you're an established MHE Instructor or you've previously held an instructor qualification and are looking to get back into training, we'd love to hear from you.

We have opportunities available on both permanent days working a 12-hour shift pattern.

Here’s What You Can Expect To Be Doing

As an Operational Trainer, you'll play a vital role in developing our people and ensuring they have the skills, knowledge and confidence to work safely and effectively.

You’ll:

• Deliver engaging practical and classroom-based training
• Lead inductions for new starters and agency colleagues
• Train, assess and re-certify colleagues on MHE equipment
• Support compliance with health and safety standards across the site
• Maintain accurate training records and certification data
• Work closely with Operational, HR and Health & Safety teams
• Identify opportunities to improve training effectiveness and operational performance
• Ensure mandatory training requirements are completed across your shift

A Few Things About You

We're looking for someone who is passionate about developing others, confident in front of groups and able to adapt their approach to suit different learning styles.

Essential

• Full UK Driving Licence
• Experience operating MHE within a warehouse or logistics environment
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements
• Experience delivering practical training and coaching
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Qualifications

• Accredited MHE Instructor qualification (RTITB, ITSSAR or AITT) preferred

• Manual Handling Instructor qualification
• Level 3 Assessing qualification (or equivalent)
