Job summary

Aprolis UK Limited in Hinckley is seeking an MHE instructor to deliver forklift driver training to internal and external candidates, in accordance with internal procedures and Health & Safety requirements. The role aims to maximise training opportunities, meet quality standards, and exceed customer expectations through on-site sessions at Hinckley or at customers' premises.

You will support colleagues and customers, maintain up-to-date instructor licences, and adapt hours to meet client needs

• Trained to RTITB or AITT standard.
• Good communication skills at all levels.
• Good customer focus and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide MHE driver training on site at Hinckley or at customer premises.
• Manage weekly/monthly/annual training diary to maximise training and income.
• Keep instructor licences up to date and adhere to safety standards.
• Be flexible with hours to meet customer requirements and shift patterns.
• Coordinate with the training administrator and complete registrations on time.

Job Description Summary

Aprolis UK are actively recruiting an MHE instructor to deliver MHE Driver training to both Internal and External candidates at a level which complies fully with internal procedures, known Health & Safety requirements, and to provide professional support to colleagues and customers. To maximise profit opportunities ensuring that all training delivered is supplied to agreed timescales, meets quality standards, and exceeds customer’s expectations

Person Specification

• Extensive MHE industry knowledge
• Trained to a recognised standard (RTITB / AITT)
• Good communication skills at all levels
• Good customer focusing skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• People management skills
• PC literate
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Commercial awareness
• Be conversant with engineer efficiency targets
• Flexibility on working hours, and location of training.

Core Activities

• To provide MHE driver training to internal and external candidates on site at our Hinckley facility or delivered direct at customers premises if necessary.
• Manage a Weekly / Monthly / Annual diary to maximise training & income
• Ensure own instructor driving licence categories are kept up to date.
• Be flexible with working hours to fulfil customer requirements when covering shift patterns.
• Complete registrations within the agreed timescales.
• Pre-book equipment within the agreed timescales to ensure available for training
• Keep Training administrator updated with all training carried out.

GENERAL HOUSEKEEPING AND HEATH & SAFETY

To ensure that the premises comply with appropriate Health & Safety legislation and Company policy and are well maintained and presentable.

By personal involvement, standard setting and monitoring, ensure that the highest practicable standards of housekeeping are established and maintained for all areas under your control.

In conjunction with Company Health & Safety Representative, and External Health & Safety Manager ensure Company and Legislative Health & Safety Conduct requirements are met and adhered to.

To establish and maintain adequate safety and security procedures to protect depot property, equipment and employees.

Ensure all company Health and Safety Policies are adhered to while working on customers sites.

To perform any other reasonable duties that may be required from time to time within the scope of your knowledge, skills and ability.
