GSL Education are currently seeking a full-time MFL (Modern Foreign Languages) Teacher for a well-regarded secondary school in Southampton, starting from September 2025, this exciting opportunity is open to both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators, offering a chance to work in a supportive and forward-thinking school environment. Pay rate is between £30,000 to £50,000 per annum. Short listed candidates can visit the school for a tour before being invited for a formal interview. Interviews will be held over the next couple of weeks.

Responsibilities of the MFL Teacher:

• Plan and deliver engaging MFL lessons (French, Spanish, or German depending on the school’s needs).
• Teach across KS3 and KS4, inspiring pupils to develop a love for languages.
• Monitor student progress and provide tailored support where needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the MFL curriculum.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Participate in departmental meetings, parent consultations, and school activities.

Requirements of the MFL Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching MFL in a secondary school setting.
• Excellent subject knowledge and enthusiasm for languages.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
• Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
