Overview

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a part‑time MFL teacher to work at an exceptional school in Hull, starting January 5th and running at least until the February half term of 2026. Full planning and marking will be expected for this role, and for this reason payment will be in line with the main teaching pay scale. Scaled to a daily rate, this will be between £168.80 and £261.77 per day. The role is a two‑day‑per‑week booking, with the working days being Monday and Thursday.

The school is fairly central in Hull, is accessible via most bus routes and has a large free on‑site car park available to all candidates. Behaviour at the school is widely recognised as good, and it is part of a local academy trust that predominantly operates primary schools. The school day runs from 8:30 to 3:35.

Responsibilities

Teaching MFL—mainly French and Spanish—to Key Stage 3 and 4 students. Full planning and marking is hoped for, but negotiation is available as the school provides a wealth of resources that can be slightly amended. Marking requirements will also be low for this role. The role suits candidates looking for work‑life balance.
