Job summary

Education Personnel are partnering with a Derby secondary to recruit an MFL Teacher (French, Spanish, or German) for an immediate start. You will contribute to a thriving MFL department and support students across KS3, KS4, and potentially KS5 in Derby.

Holders of QTS with at least 6 months UK secondary teaching experience are welcome. The role offers day-to-day supply, long-term, and permanent possibilities within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• QTS is essential for the role.
• Experience teaching Modern Foreign Languages in a UK secondary setting is expected.
• Ability to plan, deliver and assess modern languages curricula for multiple key stages.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the KS3 & KS4 MFL curriculum, with KS5 teaching available if experienced in Derby.
• Plan, prepare, and assess engaging language lessons tailored to diverse student abilities.
• Monitor student progress and implement appropriate language interventions.
• Contribute to MFL department improvement planning and cultural enrichment activities.
• Attend staff meetings, CPD, and parents’ evenings as required.

Pay Rate: £130–£230 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)
