Job summary

AFI Group of companies is seeking a MEWPS Engineer in Caldicot. The role involves carrying out PDIs, servicing, LOLER inspections, repairs, and updates to a fleet of rental machines.

You will attend on-site breakdowns and maintain active communication with the engineering team and hire office to ensure maximum machine availability. Applicants should hold an engineering qualification (ideally in plant maintenance) and a minimum NVQ level 2, be competent in electro/hydraulic systems, and have

• Engineering qualification (ideally plant maintenance).
• NVQ level 2 or equivalent.
• IPAF licence is required.
• Desirable CAP licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PDIs, services, LOLER inspections, repairs, and manufacturer updates.
• Attend breakdowns on customer sites.
• Record checks using PDA and follow procedures.
• Communicate with engineering team and hire office to maximise machine availability.
