Job summary

Securitas UK is seeking a MEWPS Engineer to perform PDIs, servicing, LOLER inspections and repairs on our fleet of rental machines in the Caldicot area. You will respond to breakdowns at customer sites and record checks using a PDA, while maintaining close liaison with engineering teams and the hire office to maximise machine uptime.

The role requires an engineering qualification (preferably in plant maintenance) and an IPAF licence, with CAP licence desirable.

Qualifications

You must hold an engineering qualification (ideally in plant maintenance) – minimum NVQ level 2 or equivalent.
Be competent in electro/hydraulic systems.
You will be experienced in fault-finding/diagnostics.
You will be working closely with customers and colleagues, so you must be able to communicate professionally.
You must be able to prioritise tasks in an ever-changing, demanding hire environment.
A valid IPAF Operator licence/certification is required
A valid CAP licence would be desirable.

Responsibilities

Carrying out pre-delivery inspections (PDIs), services, LOLER inspections, repairs, and manufacturer updates, and maintaining the corporate image of our fleet of rental machines.
Attending breakdowns on customer sites.
Accurately recording all necessary checks using a company-issued PDA, following company procedure at all times.
Communicating effectively with the engineering team and hire office to make sure that the depot maintains maximum machine availability.
