Job summary

McLaren Automotive is seeking a Metrology Programmer based in Woking to examine and measure components ensuring they meet McLaren's high-quality standards. The role involves reading drawings, verifying dimensional accuracy, and reporting data to internal customers.

The ideal candidate has significant metrology experience, a mechanical engineering background (automotive/aerospace preferred), and proficiency with Catia V5 and CMM software (PC-Dmis/Polyworks).

Qualifications

• Significant level of experience in metrology / inspection.
• Mechanical engineering background, preferably automotive or aerospace.
• Ability to read engineering drawings with GD&T understanding.
• Experience in Catia V5.
• Experience in using and programming CMMs with PC-Dmis or Polyworks.
• Experience in portable measuring equipment (Faro/Romer).
• Knowledge of Delcam PowerInspect & Polyworks is advantageous.
• Strong MS Office knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Read drawings and follow McLaren specifications to obtain product information.
• Verify dimensional accuracy of components and tooling in manufacturing.
• Notify supervisor when product fails to meet standards.
• Report measurement data to relevant internal customers.
