Job summary

Owen Daniels in Sutton Coldfield is seeking an experienced Metrology Engineer to join a growing manufacturing business. You will lead dimensional inspection, produce reports, and support Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Tooling and NPI teams.

The role involves creating and editing CMM programs with PC-DMIS, interpreting drawings and GD&T, and working with CMMs, portable arms and scanning equipment on a double day shift.

Qualifications

• Experience in CMM programming and operation.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Knowledge of PC-DMIS.
• Experience with FAIR/ISIR/PPIR, MSA, Cpk and SPC.

Responsibilities

• Create and edit CMM measurement programmes using PC-DMIS.
• Perform dimensional inspection of mouldings, gauges and fixtures.
• Produce measurement reports including FAIR, ISIR and PPIR.
• Use CMMs, portable arms and scanning equipment.
• Interpret drawings, tolerances and GD&T.
• Support NPI, Quality, Manufacturing and Tooling teams.
