Job summary

Crosby Composites Limited, Brackley, is recruiting a Metrology Inspector to join our Inspection team. This hands-on role focuses on accurate measurement, inspection, probing and scanning of components to ensure they meet engineering drawings, specifications and tolerances.

The ideal candidate has practical Romer Arm operation and PolyWorks experience, and can work with a range of precision metrology equipment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on metrology experience with Romer Arms for probing and scanning.
• Proficient in PolyWorks for inspection and dimensional analysis.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances and GD&T.
• Experience using precision metrology equipment for dimensional inspection.
• Proven track record in first-off, in-process and final inspections.

Responsibilities

• Carry out dimensional inspection of components using Romer Arms for probing and 3D scanning.
• Use PolyWorks to perform inspection, measurement, scanning, alignment, and dimensional analysis.
• Interpret drawings, tolerances and GD&T to establish conformity.
• Conduct first-off, in-process and final inspections as required.
• Produce inspection reports and maintain quality documentation.
• Identify deviations and communicate findings to Engineering, Manufacturing and Production teams.
• Support investigations into dimensional and manufacturing issues to identify root causes.
