Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. seeks an Applications Engineer specializing in metrology to perform measurements at customer sites and in-house, deliver demonstrations and training, and provide expert product support.

You will analyse data, prepare reports, and present findings to engineering and commercial teams while collaborating across R&D, production, and sales. Travel UK and internationally is required; fluent English is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or similar technical discipline.
• Excellent communication across customers, sales teams, engineering, and management.
• Willingness to travel regularly (20-40% based on customer requirements).

Responsibilities

• Conduct hands-on measurements using roundness, form, and surface instruments at customer sites and in-house.
• Deliver technical demonstrations and measurement guidance across product lines.
• Analyse customer data, prepare technical reports, and present findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, sales, and marketing to relay customer needs and usability feedback.
• Travel regularly to customer facilities for measurements, installations, and support.
