Job summary

Lyreco is seeking a Maintenance Engineer at the Telford Head Office to maintain and operate equipment across Warehouse and Offices. You will be responsible for installation, commissioning and ongoing maintenance to maximise site efficiency and minimise downtime.

The role requires multi-skilled electro/mechanical expertise with strong fault-finding abilities, knowledge of automated PLCs (Siemens S7 a bonus), and readiness to work shifts.

Qualifications

  • City & Guilds or equivalent in electro/mechanical engineering.
  • Recent demonstrable multi-skilled experience with electro/mechanical equipment (electrical focus).
  • Strong fault-finding across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and automated systems.
  • Experience with logistics equipment such as automated conveyors and packaging equipment.
  • Experience with automated PLC equipment; Siemens S7 knowledge is a bonus.
  • Ability to work shifts and perform manual handling.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure operation and maintenance of equipment in Warehouse and Offices.
  • Install and commission equipment as required to maximise site efficiency.
  • Minimise downtime through proactive maintenance and repairs.
  • Support building services maintenance tasks as needed.

Job description

Maintenance Engineer

Location: Telford Head Office

Based Salary: £45k per annum (+benefits)

An opportunity has arisen to join our Building Services team here at Lyreco in Telford.

Our Maintenance Engineers are responsible for ensuring the operation and maintenance of all equipment in both our Warehouse and Offices.

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be involved in the configuration, installation and commissioning of any equipment deemed necessary. You will contribute towards maximising the efficiency of the site by minimising equipment downtime, as well as undertaking any maintenance work associated with building services, as and when required.

Requirements
  • City & Guilds or equivalent in electro/mechanical engineering
  • Recent demonstrable multi-skilled industry experience of electro/mechanical equipment (with a higher focus on electrical)
  • Strong fault-finding experience over electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and automated software-controlled equipment (Hydraulics being a bonus)
  • Working knowledge / experience of Logistics equipment (I.e.: Automated conveyor systems and packaging equipment including AC motors, and inverters)
  • Working knowledge / experience of Automated and PLC equipment (SIEMENS S7 knowledge / experience being bonus).
  • Qualification / Working experience on Electrical installations (Distribution Boards, 3 phase and single-phase power supplies)
  • The ability to work shifts
  • The ability to undertake manual handling and physical activities.
