Job summary

IMServ Europe Ltd, based in Norwich, is seeking two skilled Field Technicians to install, maintain and troubleshoot metering equipment on customer sites. Reporting to the Regional Field Manager, you will work on electricity meters and related systems, coordinating with the Work Management team to stay aligned with schedules.

Ideally you have 24 months' meter installation experience, a SMICOP qualification, and a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience installing electric meters (minimum 24 months).
• Knowledge of metering setups and equipment.
• Strong safety-focused approach to field work.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain electricity meters (whole current, LV and HV).
• Diagnose and fix faults on-site.
• Program, read and test meters and related equipment.
• Inspect meters and connections for defects or unauthorised connections.
• Support installation and maintenance of complex BMS systems.
• Complete job reports and paperwork accurately and on time.
• Manage van stock to ensure needed parts are available.
• Carry out regular vehicle compliance checks.

Field Technician - Metering

Now we're looking for two skilled Field Technicians to join our growing team.

The Role

Reporting to the Regional Field Manager, you'll be out on the road installing, maintaining and troubleshooting metering equipment at customer sites.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Installing and maintaining electricity meters (whole current, LV and HV)
• Diagnosing and fixing faults on-site
• Programming, reading and testing meters and related equipment
• Inspecting meters and connections for defects or unauthorised connections
• Supporting with installation and maintenance of complex BMS systems
• Completing job reports and paperwork accurately and on time
• Managing your van stock to make sure you’ve got what you need
• Carrying out regular vehicle compliance checks

You'll follow a daily schedule, working closely with our Work Management team if anything changes or you need support. We're big on doing the job right first time and keeping customers informed along the way.

What We’re Looking For

We're looking for experienced, safety-focused technicians who take pride in their work.

You’ll need:

• SMICOP qualification
• At least 24 months' experience installing electric meters
• Good knowledge of metering setups and equipment
• A full UK driving licence
