Job summary

Gi Group Holdings Recruitment Limited is hiring Meter Readers for postcodes N3, N11, N12, N14 and N20. This full-time, outdoor role requires no prior experience and offers full training, a company car, and progression opportunities. You will collect meter data, interact with customers, and work a flexible 40–45 hour week.

The role includes a structured bonus scheme and benefits, with 28 days holiday pro rata and pension enrollment. A valid UK driving licence and DBS/credit checks are required.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid UK manual driving licence (1–6 points, no disqualifications).
• Physically fit for daily outdoor work and walking 4–5 miles per day.
• Clear DBS check with no unspent convictions and a clean credit report.
• Approximately 5 years of employment history and customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve data from domestic, commercial and industrial meters (gas, electricity, water).
• Carry out visual inspections of metering equipment and services.
• Record reads accurately on handheld devices and at each location.
• Provide excellent customer service and work safely at all times.
• Work independently and manage time across a 40–45 hour week.
